The main difference between my role as an elopement photographer and as a wedding photographer is during the planning process. Elopements don't often have wedding planners so I act as elopement coordinator by providing recommendations for locations, timelines, vendors, and anything else a couple might need. There is much more planning and research done within my role as an elopement photographer.
One is not better than the other. They both have pros and cons based on personal preference. Elopements offer freedom of time and location because of its more private and intimate nature. Weddings often have strict timelines and venues are limited to availability and capacity. However, if you want to include all of the family traditions, decorations, and the people you love then a wedding is perfect for you.
I am based on the island of O'ahu and am more than willing to travel for your day. Travel expenses are included weddings across the Hawaiian islands. Mainland and international weddings come with additional cost.

+ How many photos will I receive?
My turnaround time for weddings and elopements is 4-6 weeks. For other sessions it is 2-3 weeks.
I do not give a minimum photo amount but I do promise to deliver all of the photos that I believe tell the full story of the day, the emotions experienced, and that authentically reflect your love. As an estimate, you can expect about 50 photos per hour of shooting.

My personal philosophy is that the more natural you appear, the more authentic the image will be. I do remove temporary imperfections (pimples, bruises, etc) however, anything that will true about you within two months of your photos being taken will remain true in your photos.

"Bad" is a relative term. If your day is rainy and windy, I promise we will make the most of it and you'll love the result. If it is bad enough that we are in danger or we just won't have a good time, I am happy to reschedule.

I find that so much of the wedding industry wants to make client choices for them. And while we have spent years perfecting our craft, we cannot put a one-size-fits-all menu in front of our clients and assume that is enough.
I believe that you and your story are unique and, therefore, I know I cannot assume everything about what you need and want for your day.
I am happy to provide add-ons as well as complimentary consultations for completely customized experiences to see if we can bring your unique vision to life.
Some add-ons I have provided include:
- Day before sessions: These are great for getting either the couple, or even better, your family and friends comfortable with me and my camera around.
- Day after sessions: So you want to enjoy the whole day with your loved ones and don't want to take time out for portraits. Booking a sunset session the day after is a perfect way to be fully present with your people and not rush to get those golden hour portraits.
- Additional hours: you might be planning a special breakfast or a after-reception party. Adding on extra hours will make sure everything is captured.
- Officiating services: are you eloping just the two of you and need someone to officiate your ceremony and mark you official? My husband guides clients through applying for their marriage license, planning the ceremony, and filing with the state so everything is official.
